Doggie Oats

Oats are a good choice of grain for pets.

They contain more protein per calorie than any other common grain.

 

5 cups raw rolled oats (about 11 cups cooked)

3 pounds (6 cups) raw whole, ground, or chopped turkey

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 cup vegatables

4 teaspoons bone meal

10,000 IU vitamin A

400 IU vitamin E

1 tsp tamari soy sauce or 1/4 tsp iodized salt

1-2 cloves garlic, crushed or minced

Bring about 10 cups of water to a boil. Add the oats, cover and turn off the heat, letting the oats cook for 10-15 minutes. Then combine with the remaining ingredients. Make patties and serve at meal time. For daily rations, toy dogs patties should be made with about 1-2 cups of mixture. For small dogs, 4 cups, medium dogs, 6-7 cups, large dogs, 8 cups and lastly, giant dogs 9+.

Cat Mackerel Loaf
4 large eggs
3 cups whole milk
3 tbsp healthy powder
1 ½ tsp animal essentials calcium or 1,500 mg of calcium
100-200 IU vitamin E
1 tbsp fresh vegetables
500 mg taurine supplement (optional)
2 tbsp vegetable oil or fish oil
2 15-ounce cans of mackerel, undrained (or 3 6 oz cans or tuna in oil)
6 slices whole-wheat bread, crumbled
Blend the eggs, milk, supplements, vegetables and oil together.  Add the fish and bread and mix well.  Serve raw or bake in a shallow dish at 350’F for about 20 minutes.  Freeze immediately whatever cannot be eaten in the next 3 days.  Yields about 11 cups
